Amah's Ordeal

 ...Amah dances happily around the hospital bed with the new born baby in her hands.

"She will be called Fate." Helen says forcing a smile. "I'll think of a surname later" she adjusts the wrapper tied around her breasts.

"Let her be called Fate Tom Edo." Amah says laying emphasis on the middle name.

She looks up in disgust "my daughter can't bear that rapist name!"

"But why? that's her father's name."

Helen rolls her eyes downwards searching the floor for nothing.

She turns to her friend Amah,"my daughter will soon be an orphan." She covers her face.

"What? You are not planning to kill yourself Helen."

"He had AIDS, I stabbed him because he has infected me."

"You killed Mr. Tom? You killed your own father?"

"A father like Mr. Tom deserves to die many times."...✍️

Reality in dreams.

 I have tried to make this ready on time because it's pertinent and should be served fresh...jokes apart. Can I say that dreams are real? I wonder why I feel so, maybe because mine seems so real and it's really going on amongst us. This day, Sunday 22th of June, 5:30 am. I have a dream. Of course sometimes we dream dreams and everything in there seems so real so much that we don't remember that we are sleeping and what we're seeing is just a dream.  In my dream I saw my old class mates.. yes from my alma mater and I will be mentioning their names in this narration. I attended Apostolic Faith secondary school and over there we usually engaged in extra-curricular activities like debating, news broadcasting and singing, since it was a music school too.  Engaging in a competition with other schools, going on an excursion and what have you.  I'm particularly concerned with the latter.
